ATM Management Solution

ATMs have evolved from simple machines to complex fully interactive, customer touchpoints, dispensing everything from cash and concert tickets to pre-paid cards and featuring state-of-the-art, built-in devices such as scanners and streaming video. As the ATM channel has grown increasingly important to banks, BPC created SmartATM—a sophisticated ATM network management system that allows you to service, and monitor ATM networks.

SmartATM interfaces with ATMs from all leading manufacturers including Diebold, NCR, and Wincor Nixdorf. In addition, the solution supports all typical ATM transaction types such as cash withdrawal, balance inquiries, PIN change, mini-statements, envelope cash deposit, and funds transfer. Value-added transaction types include cash-in, mobile telephone top-up, service activation, and utility and bill payment. Extended ATM functions such as payment services, repayments, cash recycling, and currency conversion are also supported.

You can also upload marketing screens to ATMs remotely. Billing Solution

SmartVista’s SmartBilling solution automates and optimizes billing procedures and accounting for retail payments. The application captures billing data and interfaces to clearing systems then acts as an agent to debit or credit the customer account.

As a solution designed to help both card issuers and acquirers, SmartBilling provides a flexible and stable billing solution for easy account management and product support. SmartBilling automates assigning and calculating multi-level fees, rates, and discounts at the account or retailer level by effective date and generates bills using flexible invoice templates. “Fee split” and “Profit share” schemes for multiple parties are provided.

SmartBilling provides a host of valuable features designed to quickly and efficiently capture and prepare billing information. SmartMerchant processes merchant applications—capturing relevant information either on paper or electronically—and then stores details in a consolidated acquirer database. Once this structure is established, you can manage total merchant relationships at any level including settlement, billing, and reporting.

Card Production and Personalization

For issuers looking for a card production system that fully integrates with card management, SmartVista’s SmartPro provides an end-to-end solution for magnetic and smart card personalization. A sophisticated personalization engine delivers all the necessary functionality for embossing, mag-stripe encoding, chip personalization, with support for PIN mailer printing and distribution. SmartPro also includes the complete key management processes required for card personalization and provides a direct interface to a range of widely-used card personalization and security equipment from a variety of vendors including DataCard, SafeNet, Thales, as well as chip manufacturers.

SmartPro supports both in-house personalization and PIN mailing production either centrally or through a branch network or to third-party bureaus. Personalization data can be transmitted either in real time or batch and two options are provided for data capture—either through screen input or from external systems.

Authorization Switching Solution

SmartVista’s SmartSwitch solution provides a real-time transaction engine for authorization switching to enhance your online processing power while retaining legacy card management environments. SmartSwitch manages the complete end-to-end requirements of authorization switching by delivering three core areas of functionality including interface support, authorization routing, and stand-in authorization.

SmartSwitch provides an online interface to link external devices, such as POS terminals or ATMs, to the Internet and mobile payment systems, then routes card transaction data to the issuer. SmartSwitch features predefined interfaces to the world’s leading ATMs and POS equipment vendors and to all international payments brands, as well as domestic and local payment networks—making implementation simple and straightforward in any environment. SmartSwitch also interfaces to host systems and communicates to other types of external systems such as payment service providers.

SmartSwitch supports online payments authorization, sending authorization data from the point of acceptance to the issuer and then back to the device—electronically connecting the card issuer to the transaction. If the issuer is unavailable, SmartSwitch “stands” in" and authorizes the transaction against the issuer’s predefined set of parameters, ensuring that customers can continue to complete transactions. Once the issuer is available again, SmartSwitch provides an immediate upload of all stand-in authorizations.

SmartSwitch includes sophisticated algorithms to optimize authorization routing and also includes the ability to format individual messages quickly and easily to adapt to your particular needs. In addition, the solution provides complete network management capabilities, allowing you to continually monitor the state of the network and automatically re-establish connectivity in case of failure. SmartSwitch also features an automatic key management capability between different networks that provides the option to use a different key for each transaction, significantly enhancing network security.
