Established in 2011, Ethswitch S.C is a national switch fully owned by all banks in Ethiopia. It is established mainly to provide simple, and efficient e-payment infrastructure services to retail payment service providers, and through them, to end users among the 112 million population in Ethiopia. EthSwitch was established as an alliance among all the banks
in Ethiopia, and with the support of the Ethiopian Bankers’ Association and the National Bank of Ethiopia.
