BRED Bank Fiji, part of the BRED Group, has reached a key milestone in its international payments modernisation journey with BPC, a global leader in payment solutions. All active Visa and private-label cards in Fiji have now been migrated to BPC’s cloud-based SmartVista issuing platform, following the earlier modernisation of acquiring services.
The migration is part of BRED Group’ wider deployment of SmartVista across its international markets. The platform gives BRED Bank Fiji a scalable infrastructure to launch new card programmes faster and improve the consistency and security of its payment services.
Customers and merchants can now benefit from broader acceptance of international cards, supporting domestic, cross-border and e-commerce payments. Across its live markets, BRED Group is better equipped to support merchants with contactless and multi-currency acceptance, purchase with cash-out, pre-authorisation, cash advance, tips, refunds, reversals, multi-currency settlement and digital merchant onboarding. As the latest acquiring milestone, BRED Bank Fiji will integrate its payment gateway into the modern platform, strengthening online payment processing and enabling a faster, more secure checkout experience.
BRED Bank Fiji has also selected BPC’s AI-powered SmartVista Fraud Management solution to protect transactions across ATM, point-of-sale and e-commerce channels.
